Most of the times yes! but being impressive is more related to one's personality. you know there are educated people that not only aren't impressive but also have got disgusting manners and because of higher positions they get, can be more dangerous than others.(when I say dangerous, I mean it!)
Generally because of the skills you get thru your educational career, you can organize your mind better and very importantly "speak" better. This leads a person to be more impressive.

I have met educated idiots and I have met some others that educated themselves by reading and living and working. Some people's papers are impressive, to them. It is what they do with it that may or may not be impressive.

It depends....
I find educated people who have true humility the most impressive.
When a person is too impressed with their own education, intelligence, or experience, and is show-offy or proud, I automatically take them down a few notches in my estimation.... it's almost like the emperor has no clothes, then.
The absolutely most intelligent people have humility, because they are smart enough to know how much they DON'T know.
This makes them right-sized in their own heads and in mine.

Getting an education is nothing... any rich kid's parents can buy that... but getting an actual education and being interested in learning has gotten me nothing... certainly not impressiveness in others' eyes.

That is ok though because I like knowledge.

I'm impressed by people with open minds who are interested in enlightening themselves... Often these types of people go on to higher forms of education, so in that way I guess my answer to your question would be yes. Although Intelligence is not proven by a piece of paper...

Well, as first impressions, yes. But when I look at character, and if the person is uneducated but has amazing character, they are on the same level of immpressiveness as an educated person.

Education isn't impressive... however i wouldn't be able to hold a conversation with a complete dumb *** so i guess it does help a little.
