about a month ago i changed fuel filter and air filter but still my car looses ignition or engine??
here's story of one day.
in the morning i started engine and drove my car to first signal and it turned to green light so i stepped accellator and sudden calm (less than 1 second) after car moved as normal. at noon i was driving on the freeway about 70mile and my front car moved to slow at 55miles so i tried pass that vehicle and my car lost ignition? for less that half second and back to normal.
it feels like engine is dropped. there is silence for half second.like cars moving without starting engine. even passenger notice.
after i get off of freeway went to the mall parking lot and i was waiting for one car backing up from a parking space. About 10~20 sec. my car lost ignition. engine stopped. i restarted engine and everything looked okay.
it started happen about 2 month ago once in 1 or 2 days. but now it happens very offten.
i think it happens when gear changing. PH

Boy, I wish I had an easy answer for you.
That was however an exelent question I must say.

Unfortunately the only thing I can reccomend at this point is a computer diagnostic.

It could be sooo many things from engine torque on battery calbes under acceleration, throttle sensors, air flow sensors, weak ignition coil, the list goes on.

I wish you the best........Check the battery connections???

It could be any of a couple of things, or a mix. You should check the spark plugs, wires, and distributer cap. Or it might be your throttle body that doesnt function properly. But since its an '03, it's fairly new, and it might not be that. You could just try going to a mechanics shop and get a computer diagnostics done for about $60.00 if you want to spend that....good luck.
