As the others pointed out, it's probably the GFCI Receptacle that has gone bad. Sometimes rooms are wired with a 'Pass-Through' type GFCI receptacle, so the entire room is protected, should there be a ground fault. Unfortunately, if this outlet fails, the rest of that circuit goes dead too. Unless you live in an older house, there should be another circuit serving the room that still has power, so you can plug in a table or floor lamp to get you by for now.
I trust you unplugged the shaver before trying to reset the Ground Fault button. Sometimes shavers have a Voltage Selector switch. Make sure yours is set for the correct voltage.
If the Reset still will not hold, the receptacle will have to be replaced by a qualified electrician. Yes, GFCI receptacles may fail on their own. They just kind of 'wear out'. In the ten years I have been living in my house, I have replaced 3 different GFCI receptacles that failed. No fault caused this, they simply quit working.
Good luck.

On the outlet with the red button, is there a black button on it also? If so, then push in the black one to reset the GFI outlet.
Unplug the shaver before you do this. The shaver may have a short in it or water has gotten into it.
Is it possible you have gotten some water into the outlet that the shavere plugs into? Or maybe the bathroom was very steamy? If so, that may be the reason the plug won't reset.

Look at the GFCI and make sure you are not putting it on test when you push the button, that disconnects the circuit, it should say reset on it,that is the side you want in. Hope that helped.

You've tripped your GFI circuit. You'll find that on one of the outlets is a reset button that needs reset.

Best thing to do is make sure that the outlet does not have a re-set button on it. If there is not one then the outlet its self is possibly bad and should be replaced by a certified electrician

go to the breaker and even though the breaker doesn't look like its tripped. Turn it all the way off and then all the way on again. I'll bet that is your solution.

You don't say where you were...If in the bathroom, you probably plugged into a GFCI socket...If so, you need to reset that too (Red button).
