I guess it first depends on what you call rich. Secondly, I guess it depends if by rich you are referring to money or "riches of life"?
Obviously, being rich is all about perspective. Someone who makes $18,000 a year may look at someone who makes $118,000 a year and be like that mo fo is rich. Where as someone who makes $250,000 a year may look at someone who earns 2.5 Million and say dang... thats a rich mo fo and so on. It is all about your own personal window in life. Though everyone looks out a window, they may never see the same thing.
As far as rich goes, well I guess I will try and clarify a little for myself and perhaps others. I guess what I am saying is that there is rich and than there is wealthy."I" think you can be rich and not be wealthy and you can be wealthy without being rich, though most people use these words interchangeably. I say this because "to me" rich means enjoying your life, family, your work, and just everything that makes your life worth living and you "may" be financially well to do. To be wealthy, well just means having money. It doesn't guarantee happiness, nor does it guarantee joy, so I keep rich and wealthy in two separate categories.
OK, maybe I am getting a little too deep but hopefully you get the point. So, to answer your question. Hmmm.. what jobs pay the most? Well, if done correctly, any job can be financially rewarding and lead to wealth. I mean you hear about athletes, entertainers and actors making boat loads of money. Yet, for all of the ones that we hear about, there are probably ten times as many that we don't even know who struggle.
Than there are the IT, engineering, architecture, science, etc. who can become very wealthy as well. Than lets not forget about the entrepreneurs, sales, marketing and people who just have good ideas. They make crazy money as well. What I am saying is that there is ten ways to Sunday to make a fat dollar in this world. Just be good .... not even good, kinda good at something and have the right attitude and some well-with-all to go with it and you can write your ticket.
Now, if you just want a straight answer. Sales and marketing! Everything needs to be sold all the time. If you can sale something good, you can find yourself on the road to financial liberation.
I hope this give you a little insight!

Young lady, I'm sure you're a wonderful young person and all, but you need to start looking at what is going to make you rich on the inside and quit focusing on the externals of life so much. Externals like your describing(being rich and having a higher paying job than anyone else, beauty and sex appeal) are fleeting and they never satisfy (bring happiness) in the long run. A life obsessed merely on the acquisition of material things and satisfying the passions of the flesh always leaves you wanting more, more, more. It never ends.
Don't get me wrong , you need money and it's no sin to have a good paying job. But viewing it in the way as your question suggests, i.e., more important than family, friends(healthy relationships) will ultimately lead you down a very unhappy and dark path similar to the likes of Anna Nicole and Marilyn Monroe. Oh yea, they had it all, money, fame, sex-appeal out the "ying-yang." But were they happy? Were they? Where are they now?
Read the words of Jesus to "the woman at the well" [John, chap.4: 5- 39] who was the victim of her own passions "run-wild" and the worldly pursuits for things that could never satisfy.

Well, I would say C.E.O's of companies, bank managers etc...
But if you are being payed a large amount of money for what you do. With a job that pays good money comes great responsibility. Or, not ever having the time to spend it.
Sort of an unfair trade in...
