Yes. I was brought up to tell the truth ("and shame the devil" I can hear my mother lecturing me in her Irish accent). If I have told a lie in the past I cannot rest and it plays on my mind. I would always chose to tell the truth no matter what the consequences but then I have never done something that would really badly hurt someone if they knew the truth. I treat people as I expect to be treated and have nothing to feel guilty about, so openness and honesty is easy for me.

Let me ask you this: If someone came to you asking where to find your loved one, and you knew he was looking for him/her to kill him/her, would you tell the truth? Keeping silent might be an option, but if he's headed in the right direction, he may find him/her soon. Lying may actually save him/her. Would you tell the truth? "No matter what the consequence" covers A LOT of consequences.

No I honestly don't. The truth is not always the right answer because a lot of people can get hurt. People don't always want the truth. We like to live in our little bubbles of denial so why pop it?

NO, there are times you should tell that little white lie, so you won't hurt the feelings of the other person, such as when my wife's cat got eaten by a coyote, and i had to tell her that someone may have picked her up and taken her home, she wandered a lot

No, I always say I always tell the truth unless I have to lie. Meaning if I have to lie to save my a** or someone I care abouts, then I will do it. I am a darn good liar too!

No - does anyone ever really say exactly how they are feeling when you ask them how they are doing? Or if a friend asks if she looks cute in something and I tell her she does even though she doesn't? We all tell lies everyday to make other people happy and to put up a false front that our lives are fantastic.

Pretty much. I've even told someone how they dressed looked like they were fat and I felt really bad but they actually said it was ok, it needed to be said so they didn't buy the clothes. I'm not the best at being subtle...
