I think it was a comfort thing ,I bet he did it since he was a small child...my late sister's godchild fiddled with the tags on her clothes as a baby and she still does it as a teenager.

when you call someone by his first name you have a more direct personal contact than when you say just his last name. It wasn't uncommon to call rulers by their first name, like someone already said. monsieur Bonaparte is more formal and more for important meetings, while when you want the people to like you, you want to be as close to them and that is possible when people call them by their first name, especially after the french revolution, were everyone was deemed equal. he became in more closer contact with the people. And in a dynasty, what he wanted, everyone had the same last name, so it is more common to use the first name

He was the first in the world to confront piracy in the music business. I'd say he liked to keep tabs on his mp3 player and his favourite song was - In The Navy - by The Village People. His hat was stereo too! ;)

Maybe his hand was deformed like the guy who played Radar on M*A*S*H - one of his hands was deformed and he would always hide it from the cameras. I tried looking for it in a few episodes - it's so freakin hard to see!!
