How can the people of that country act so calmly when their people are taken hostage. Perhaps the evil forces that have beaten France into submission and put the rest of Europe on hold have left the US alone in the world to defend democracy.

The Liberals have taken over another country and in the interest of peace are going to sacrifice honor again. The reason Iran was able to hold Americans hostage for 444 days was a liberal congress and Weak president (CARTER). Reagan quickly repaid Iran for their actions as England should do now in the interest of protecting their Honor.

I'd call what we have here in the US a very comfortable existence, but the real power in America has never been in the hands of the commoner. And while we're on the subject of democracy and Iran, in 1952, America arranged the assassination of IRAN'S DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT. What did you think, they suddenly got p*ssed off at us for no reason in 1979? Google , or and see what you get. Defender of Democracy? Please. Open your history book.

well the united states let Iran keep our hostages for over a year...the UK resolved the problem in a few weeks. So who's doing the better job on diplomacy?

I don't see that England is any different than any other country when it comes to that. As for France..what have they done .. in reality..to back the U. S.??????

England acted wisely- against provocation. She didn't want a conflict- she wanted her people back. And she got what she wanted- by standing up to it & allowing no quarter. Were OUR leaders- so wise...
