What do you think about the the coffee and the general atomsphere? personally... i do not like them... I have been there a few times the coffee is really strong and bitter and when I asked for a small they looked at me like I was crazy and they said ... "you mean a tall right?" Also I hate how holding a starbucks drink has become a sort of a status symbol.

Overrated. It drives me crazy when the person in front of me is ordering a "grande latte, with soy milk, one sugar, one splenda, a little foam, a shot of carmel, one squirt of whipping cream".

Well, they are there to sell coffee. If you look at it from a employee mentality, yes, it is not a good deal. But I prefer to see them as very creative marketers, and they have a terriffic product. It should be a status symbol. If you have the extra cash to spend on such expensive coffee, by all means flaunt that stuff. The atmosphere is condusive to chatting, reading, and it provides a great place to meet with people. Maybe you just had a bad experience, but I don't really have an issue with them besides their choice to not support the military.

Yeah thats funny, you ask for a small and they go " You want a Tall". Since when is a small a tall? And i know what you mean about the cup in hand, some clowns think they look cool with it!!!! Sorry i'm with you, i "DON'T" buy in to the whole starbucks and coffee stuff.

I think they are over priced. I personally go to seven eleven and get my coffee. You can basically get the same thing for 1/4 of the cost. I too hate how they have renamed the size chart. If I want a small then I want to say small not say tall.

There was only a small one where I used to live so it was always busy. There was only a handful of seats so not many people got to stay.

Personally I love the place. I think its a kind of a more hip version of a cafe possibly.

Im not a huge fan of coffee but i do have a VERY soft spot for the peppermint mochachino. Very mild with a strong minty taste. Very addictive.

i go there about twice a month sometimes once a week,it all depends ,but i think starbucks makes the best lattes, period.except in europe of course.i have been to a lot of coffee shops ,from companies like sb and just little cafe's and none can make it better.i don't know why ,maybe i have aquired the taste for it.but,a cup of coffee itself is disgusting.i also feel it is way to strong.i also like the atmosphere in ours, soft music ,soft chairs if you can get one of those..lol...or sit outside, which is just like in europe, but not as romantic on a sidestreet.anyway ,i like to treat myself every now and then.and 5 bucks to relax and pump energy from the caffine isn't the world,i mean look at the gasprices lately.but i could not imagine spending $30 or more on coffee per week.and if you don't like their coffee how about their iced greentea, which again is expensive for a teabag, but most of us here agree that it should be a treat not a status.it's like going to the movies.

Thr prices could use a great lowering. The atmosphere at mine is... moody, but I like it. There coffe is too rich and flavorless. Though, this is coming from a guy who puts 5 creams and 6 sugars in his coffee!

Agreed...it's expensive but I like it. And there IS NO small. A tall is like the smallest they have! But it's delicious and addictive...and yeah I agree about the "status symbol" thing.

I agree with you. I don't go to Starbucks. I can get decent coffee at school for 50 cents.

I like their non-fat frappucino because it's a coffee slurpee, but if I had to go inside and wait for them to make one I would never get it. I do their drive thru only because in insides of that place gives me hives. I really like Nordstrom's cafe better, their iced mocha rocks.
