I enjoy good mysteries--especially the ones where secret identities are involved--and the reasons for them are intrinsic to the plot--not so much whodunnits, but whydunnits--Of course, this kind of thing can get out of hand, and you end up spending more time guessing than you do solving and enjoying the author's creativity.
