No one I know even remembers this.

I was born in 86 so it was probably on during the 90s

All i remember is an older guy who sat on giant rocks in the woods and I think he told stories and there were various characters in the woods aswell

It was Fred Penner. The show was called Fred Penner's Place.

My roommate remembers that he sang "valderie valderah" but she can't remember either. I think it might have been Raffi's Place; he walks through the woods and goes through a hollow log to get there...hope we helped!
