Amethyst. I have a ring with the birthstone on it and I wear it around my neck on a gold chain. It reminds me that I'm doing everything for me and not for someone else.

August--so mine would be peridot usually (under most systems). As in a lame, key-lime green little stone. Supposedly has the totemic/spiritual power of letting the owner "see patterns in reality"....like I can't do that already! o_O
And yeah, it would be Onyx under one other system, but that is just a dull, black rock, a laminate chalcedony, a slurry of different things....It's supposed to represent strength or something, but it looks like it represents *dullness* to me. ^_^ *lol*
