It depends on the state you have established domicile, in other words, what state you live in. I know that Arkansas, and Georgia have 30 day rules, and no fault divorce runs around 200-500 dollars. The cheapest way, however, isn't the best way when you have young children, and own property. If I were you, I would be looking for a consultation with a lawyer, and given the length of time he's been gone, file for abandonment, with retro-active child support. I wish you my very best in this matter.
Regards!

there is no cheap way when it comes to court especially since theirs the issue of "the children and the property"....You said he went to mexico...do you know where he resides??
Talk to a lawyer....or go to your court house...and ask how you go about doing a divorce on your own. Your husband will have to be served..that's why I ask you if you know where he lives..you can check with the lawyer or the court house...what to do in a situation where he took off for 2yrs...out of state*

GOODLUCK*

We go to Reno to get married and Mexico to get divorced. Where have you been? Check and see if u are already. Talk to a lawyer in the phonebook, the 1st talk is normally free.

Different states have different laws..
Check your state law on the internet..
In many states, you can download the forms,
fill them out and file them yourself...
Call your clerk of court and ask about desertion
when you do not know the location of husband.

File for desertion, you'll most likely get everything. First make sure he's not dead!
