There are many recipes. I love this one the best. Many people use this recipe because it is easy

BAKED DONUTS

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg and mix well. Mix in dry ingredients and milk. Fill greased muffin tins 1/2 full. Bake 350 degrees, 20-30 minutes.
Dip donuts in:

1/2 cup melted butter

Then roll in mixture of:

1 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

I remember making donuts with biscuit dough in the can.
If you want traditional donuts with the whole in the middle, use a cookie cutter or knife to cut the holes. Or you can just make them whole.
Fry them in Crisco till golden brown then prep them with what you want on them.
You can use cinnamon and sugar, dip in melted chocolate or inject them with creme or fruit flavoring.
Given all the work involved, rather go get fresh donuts.
I live in the US and wish we had Tim Horton's like the Canadians.
I hate Krispy Kremes. What's the big deal with them anyway?
Another question I guess...

I make donut balls from biscuit dough. I fry them in oil then dip them in either powdered sugar or sugar and cinnamon. They are so good and they don't take too long to make. If you want to make them homemade I would recommend these web sites, allrecipes and recipezaar.com.

1.)ok, get a pan and oil.
2.)once it gets hot, dont let it too hot, bring the flour out
3.)shape it however you want like hearts or circles.
4.)next put the shaped-flour(dough) in the pan and keep turning it and once it gets a little dark take it out.
5.)then once they are on a plate sprinkle them with chocolate or sugar..anything.
6.)let them cool.
7.)eat your treat.
**on the first time it might now be like a donut because it was your first try.
