With RX glasses, I haven't seen any eye protection I like other than field shields. Has anyone seen a face shield that also has ear protection? I've seen combination helmets/ear/face shields but I have no need for a helmet.

Just get the foam ear plugs, either with the hard 'headphone' looking thing or the ones with a string between them. Either way, you can still wear a regular face shield or get RX safety glasses and use them with that. Really, every ear protection device will work with a face shield or safety glasses. Most safety glasses can be worn over RX glasses, too. They suck to wear, but they can be worn.

Personally, I wear safety glasses provided by a factory I worked at. Those side shields that slide onto regular glasses doesn't make them safe. The lenses must be 4 mm thick (at the thinnest part) and cover a certain percentage of the eye (like 4 or 5 times larger) to meet OSHA regulations. While I don't generally wear hearing protection, I probably should. Glad that your thinking of it.

Disposable ear plugs, properly installed.

Plain plastic 'goggles' work fine over my glasses. They get kind of nasty after a while, but they are also fairly cheap.
