The Leafs will qualify cause they'll have more wins than the Islanders.

If the Islanders lose in OT tomorrow, the Leafs get in the playoffs due to the fact that the Leafs have more wins (40 to 39) thn the Islanders. The Islanders must win tomorrow or go home.

An Isles win and the are in. A loss or OTL and they are out.
To LAX DAD, the Isles don't have to win in regulation. If they win in overtime they still get the two points an finish ahead of the Leafs. If they lose in overtime, they finish behind the Leafs because of the tiebreaker that Bob Loblaw mentioned.

LAX-DAD is mistaken. An Islanders win in O/T or shootout would still be enough to propel them past the Leafs into 8th place. Leafs fan need to see the Islanders lose tomorrow, whether it happens in regulation or O/T is irrelevant.
Suddenly I'm a Devils fan and Martin Brodeur better be between the pipes for that one.
