Yes, but it was years ago. I lived in a small town and my husband had gone out of town for the weekend. There was just one movie theater, and a Disney animated feature was playing--can't remember which one, but one I loved from my childhood. So I went, and enjoyed it.
It is kind of awkward, but I did it. For some reason it's harder to go to a movie alone than to a restaurant alone. I think it's more enjoyable to have a person w/you at the movies, to bounce thoughts and reactions off of and to share popcorn with!
Good question!

i have and if given the opportunity, i would again. i love going to the movies by myself. even after i got married, i would watch movies that no one else wanted to see. right now i have a newborn and it's difficult to find the time to go see a movie.
here are some movies i saw by myself:
three men and a cradle (french version)
a room with a view
my life as a dog
shakespeare in love
la femme nikita
by the way, i also go to restaurants alone. i enjoy watching the people.

hells to the yes! the scorpion king. the rock is hot. i think it opened the same day as the very first spiderman. so naturally everybody went to see spiderman. i hate seeing movies like that opening night so i went to see scorpion king. then me and my friends skipped school and caught a daytime showing of spiderman during the week. cheap and dayum near empty, the way i like it!
i plan on doing it again in the future. my boyfriend talks too much during movies...

I have. Me and my cousin were going to see The Fith Element and he had a supersaver for Murder at 1600. He went in before me and I couldn't find him. I ended up in the room showing Murder at 6100 and watched the whole movie, lol, going to have to start going alone since everyone's so busy.

I have went with people and sat by myself. Mainly because they are big talkers and I hate to watch a movie with people who talk a lot (especially a movie I spend about $8 to see).

I have. My friends all enjoy the clubs. I don't. their too loud. Besides. My friends talk in the movies.
I went to see The Passion of the Christ. I'm glad I went to that alone. It's easier to watch (and cry) when there isn't someone next to you asking "why did they do that?"

No I haven't but I'm not afraid to go to the movies alone or eat at a restaurant by myself...I am confident and secure...this does not mean you're a weirdo or something.

i have watched quite a number of flicks contained in the theater via myself, notwithstanding it would not fairly count number because i replaced into the final manager of a 2 show second run theater and that i replaced into screening the flicks when I outfitted them up lol
