I got a new neck for my bass and it has no holes yet. I was wonder do i just screw the screws in or what? How do I attach my neck to the bass with out damaging it? It is a P-Bass

dont just screw into the new neck - the neck is made of hardwood and will split if you just drive them screws in - you need to make pilots holes , slightly smaller than the screws you will use (use the ones that attached the other neck ) ifyou not comfortable doing that bring it to your local music store they might know someone who can do that , or your local highschool shop teacher will have access to a bench press and will have a better idea of how to help you (and maybe for free)
or find someone that does woodworking they could help to

Always drill pilot holes first...

Put the neck in the pocket, then take one of the screws, place it through the body holes, and push. This will make small detents in the neck heel. Carefully drill pilot holes about 5/8" deep at the marks.

it would be a good idea to drill pilot holes in the neck so the wood wont crack or split when you attach the neck

I suggest getting it done professionally, because the slightest mistake can damage the bass

I don't know how valuable Your guitar is, but if it is worth very much, I would take it to a professional guitar repair person.
Most music stores can recommend one.
