No, College is the simplest thing I have ever had to do. People make it out to be hard, but it's really a big joke. If I could do it again I would not be here.

College is not that bad. It is a great experience to be sure. But it will really depend upon what your living conditions are going to be like at college and what your home life has been like up until now. Are you already an independent person? or are you fairly attached to your parents and family? If you are more attached, expect more homesickness to start.
Also, I highly suggest living in the dorms for the first year at least. This will give you a built in support network, of people that are going through the same seperation as you will.
Best of luck and I hope that you do well.

Going off to college is like going to a real long summer camp where you have to study as part of your curriculum. You will be having so much fun that you probably won't think about home much. But if you ever get home sick, which most people do at least in the beginning, you can always hop on a car or plane and come back home for a weekend.

It was really scary for me because I've always been with my mom and when I went away, I was scared out of my witts because I didnt know anyone. But 2 weeks later, everything was cool. Now, 3 years later, I never want to go home :-), you'll be fine.

It wasn't scary at all for me. Then again, I'm only two hours away from my hometown, but even so, I don't go back there often.
As long as you can figure your way around and don't have a problem being away from home, it's not bad at all.

I don't think so. It depends on how much you like living with your parents versus how much you crave your independence. College is a lot like having a constant sleepover. There are other people in your room (assuming you bunk) and most of the time they are just as nervous as you. It can be the best time of your life if you allow it to be.
You'll be fine.

At first, it's really scary, but it will wear of very quickly -- you'll adjust by the end of your first semester...
then it will be HEAVEN.
college can't be beat.
