Everyone goes through a period where he/she feels very depressed, but that doesn't mean you have to give your life away. There is a lot to look forward to in life. I know sometimes it's very hard to see that, but you need to re-evaluate yourself and see what you want to accomplish. Living at home - there is NOTHING wrong with that. Just think of it as you are very lucky than other people. I know tons of my friends left home after high school because they want to be independent. That is not always a good idea. It's very hard and takes a lot of responsible. Right now, I think you should find a way to make yourself happy again than worry about other things. Just take it one step at a time. Don't put yourself into a place where you want to fall apart. You have control. With being single, when it's time for you to meet Mr. Right, he will come! In the meantime, just go out and have fun.

Well first off, don't make yourself wrong for still living at home. You're 22.
Sometimes the more tme you spend alone makes you more depressed. Often we feel better after positive interactions with others.
Get a job somewhere. If you don't want to be in an upbat atmosphere like a restaraunt or starbucks, work in a bookstore. Cause being around people deffinatly helps!
But, if it's any consulation, I felt the same when I was 22.

You should never feel like life can't go on! Everyday is a day that is worth every breath.
Im 20, living with my parents and dont have a job. Im also on antidepressiants.
Just go talk to someone before it gets worse. Because it wont get better just wishing it away. Nothing is wrong with YOU, just ur moods. Go talk to a doc i say. :D

Sounds like you may be depressed and isolating yourself inside is not going to solve the problem.
Call yourlocal mental health center for an appointment or go talk to your family doctor.
Depression can be situational, i.e. no job. It can be acute, i.e., death of someone. There are many causes and there are various prescription medications that will actually help.

In order to be diagnosed as depressed it needs to have lasted a while. It sounds like depressed mood, single episode. Talking to a counselor and going to a doctor may help you feel better. Hope things go well!!
