I want to relocate my washer and dryer to my garage and I need to know what I can do about the washing machines drainage.
I won't have any problems with the electrical. There is already a small sink on the same water for water going in but the sink never had proper drainage, only pipe going to the outside of the house.
What do I need to do to install proper drainage for my washing, I don't want to have an alley full of water and my neighbors griping! :)

Have a plumber route a drain line directly in to existing line. Try and locate washer in garage to common wall where drain is now if possible.

I'm in the process of exactly the same thing. I located my MAIN drain line, by the cleanout plug outside the house, had it snaked clean (Which might be an issue for you in part, with your poor drainage from the sink.) I will have to tap into that main drain line, (Looks to be 4 inch pipe) Install my washer drain at the usual height off the floor level (just like inside a house) and should be all set.

Best too,,, to cap off the existing lines somewhere, evenm if you're removing the down drain from inside the house.

First you need to determine if the temperature will be warm enough in the winter months to keep it from freezing

hope you live in the south where there's no freezing. locate the nearest drain line and hook in.
