My first period was on February 26, 2007. And it ended on March 3rd. Well I didn't have a period for March, and I am in my school pool for gym class for 3 weeks straight, but I don't know when I am going to start my next period, I know i will be in the pool when i start it, im afraid i will start it IN the pool. Can anyone predict my period for April?!

i went on this website for girls and the period predictor states that you might have pms from the 18-20 of april. and you should start from the 21-25 of april. here's the link for the site. http://www.beinggirl.com/en_US/pages/periodplanner.jsp good luck with your swim thing.

Well, I can't help predict when you will have your next period, since they can be irregular when you first start having them (and some girls periods are always irregular). However, even if you start your period while you are in the pool you probably won't be able to tell. Typically, your period will be light the first day so no one will know if you start your period while you are in the pool. If you are still worried about it though and you feel comfortable wearing a tampon, you can just wear a tampon while you are in the pool to give yourself some peace of mind. Also, you may feel some cramping or soreness in your abdomen a day or two before your period, so that will give you an indication that you're about to start. Good luck!

A usual full cycle is every 28 days from the first start day of your period, this would have made your next period March 26. Since this is your first period, it may take time to regulate which means you can go 2 or more weeks past the 28 day cycle. Most girls do not have a normal regulated period until 6 or more months. Try using "slender" tampons this next time, there are always good directions in the box if you don't have the necessary help at home.

Well, first of all, for first year or so, your periods won't be regular. That means there's really no way to predict when it will come- if it comes at all.
If it starts when you're IN the pool, get out quickly and ask your teacher if you can go to the restroom because it's an emergency.
Or, you could wear a tampon while you're in the pool everyday, just to be safe.

Don't wear a tampon unless you've already started your period - that's dangerous!
Periods, especially at first, can be unpredictable. Hopefully, you'll get a little bit of a warning...like little crampy achy feelings just so you aren't totally caught off guard.
Just make sure you have pads and tampons with you at all times. If your bathing suit is black, red or another dark color that can hide blood, then I say you'd probably be okay if you started while you were actually in the pool. Chances are, your period isn't going to be very heavy at first, so if you go the entire class time and you started, you probably won't bleed enough for it to be noticed in the water. That probably sounds gross, but with chlorine in the water, you're not going to have germs and stuff floating around.
Also, if you have a female teacher, you could probably explain the situation to her and tell her you might need to periodically go to the bathroom to check. I would think unless she's really mean, she'd empathize and be okay with it.
Hopefully if you start, you'll be in the comfort of your home.

When your menses/periods first start they can be very irregular. In time you will learn to recognize the signs that your period is going to start.
In the meantime, learn to use a tampon. Make sure you change that tampon at least every six hours or more. That way you won't have an "accident" in the pool.
Most cycles run abou 26 days, some longer though.
Since you had not had a period in March, I doubt there is a way to accurately predict one in April.

I can understand your concern, especially since you do not know when you are going to start your period and you have to go into the pool for gym class. To tell you the truth, you really have nothing to worry about. If you start your period and you are in the pool, it is NOT going to just "gush" out into the pool like you probably think it is going to do. Trust me it's not. If I where in your predicament, I would get a panytliner and put it on with your swimsuit, even though the pantyliner will get wet as well, you are still going to have some type of protection. I hope this helps, and relax, you will be fine.

Since you have only had one period, your body is not on a regular cycle yet, so it's hard to pin point when your next period may be. There is usally 28 days in between your periods, so I would count from march 3rd, 28 days and see where you period possibly might start, give or take a week, since your body hasn't had a chance to become regular at this. Always be prepared, and look for signs your body gives you before your about to start your period. Signs like: cramps, sore nipples, pimples, food cravings, and mood swings. These are a good way of predicting a few days before your start your period. Good luck, hope this helps.

Well since you just started, it's pretty impossible to predict ur next period. Mine didnt come until like 2-3 months after!
And chances are it won't start while ur IN the pool, since you'll prolly only be in their for 45 minutes at the most.
And its really bad for u to put a tampon in if you're not currently on your period. Trust me, it HURTS to take it out if its been in for less than an hour, OR if your not on ur period. Cuz it only comes out easily if its wet. (and being in water wont necessarily make it wet).
My best advice is to take ur chances. When you're in water, you can't bleed. Worst case scenario is you'll bleed right when you change out of ur bathing suit.

So when girls just start their periods they are sometimes not regular at all. When I had my first one it was a week and then i didn't get it again until a year later. So if it keeps being irregular you can go to your doctor and see what is going on. They might suggest you to take birth control, just to even it out so then you will only have it once a month. That what I did when I was having twice a month. Hope I helped!
