Great questions so far! I actually celebrated Passover with my sil who is Jewish and that was a really nice meal/service in her house. We have different beliefs but it's a really nice service and biblically oriented. Pretty similar to my own faith other than nothing mentioned about Jesus. Mostly about Moses birth. We will be going to church really early and then having breakfast and I got my kids a few things for Easter (not much they are 17 and 20) and then eating dinner with dear friends and my favorite sister (my only one). Really looking forward to this joyous occasion.

What's great about our family is that my sil who is Jewish celebrates the Christian holidays with us (but not at our house) and we celebrate the Jewish holidays with her (at her home). It works out great and each holiday brings us closer together. I it's all about God so what does it matter what you call your religion? It's all about love, family and togetherness.

I will go to church, come home and take a nap, type a research paper, watch a movie, call my children and grandchildren and be thankful for a sweet and peaceful life free from agitating passions, dangers and moral conflicts.

I really miss the whole Easter celebration thing - from Maundy Thursday right through to Easter.
But here in Australia... even though it's a 4 day weekend, it seems to be just another day to everyone - at least in my town.

Most businesses other than take-away shops are closed on Good Friday, but then it's back to business on Saturday, and on Easter Sunday all the shops are open as usual. The kids hunt eggs, but I've never heard anyone mention the "reason" for the day.

I'm American, and I celebrate the holidays I grew up with, with my Aussie partner - and he loves them too... so we're having ham, funeral potatoes, a couple of salad's and devilled eggs for Easter dinner, with cherry cobbler for dessert.

Have a Happy Easter everyone !

I absolutely love Easter! I will attend church in the morning (Episcopalian here) and have a family dinner afterwards. This past week my church had "Holy Week" services each night and I made it two of them. Tonight was the Easter Vigil followed by our Festival Celebration with champagne punch! I love being an Episcopalian!

No. Easter is not a christian holiday it stems from pagan roots so to call it Cchristian should be a sin. Because if it is not of God it is of the Devil and pagans and Wiccans are of the devil. Not to burst your bubble...You may choose to celebrate this holiday in total innocence but when it comes to your soul you need to know what you are messing with. Learning about easter origins will also help explain why "Chritians" have the least holidays of the year. You may find some of htese articles useful ...

I celebrate the resurrection. That is Easter to me. After experiencing the pains of that Friday when Christ was crucified, I look forward to the joy of Easter morn.

I understand that it is more than bunnies, and eggs, although those are things that signify Spring is here, the reason for the celebration is the Risen Christ.

In my own special way, I will be the Easter Bunny this year!

My husband does things over and over again that annoy me to no end, which have been discussed already. He says he'll work on it, but I see no changes.

I want to plan an "Easter egg scavenger hunt" for him - I will start off with his favorite candies ... then I will lead him to the annoying things he does, such as stinky socks lying around the house, crumbs on the couch, leaving garbage in the sink, empty beer cans all over the house, hideous stinky slippers and old clothes that he HOARDS ... do you think this will get my point across?

Yes, I celebrate Easter as the day that Jesus Christ rose from the grave and conquered death, making it possible for us all to go to heaven. We will be going to church and then to my grandparent's house to have a Easter egg hunt for the younger kids. Happy Easter to you too!

No, we're on our way to converting to messianic judaism. Didn't quite celebrate passover this year, but we're going to quit celebrating easter and christmas (though i will still exchange gifts with my grandparents at that time, they won't exactly understand this convert).

Hopefully by next year we will be ready to celebrate passover.

Going to church. Probably visit parents. Maybe go to the hospital to visit some church folk.
