Depending on the local laws where the game was held, chances are he will get off by paying a fine and/or suspended from going to anymore games for a set time period.
It is OK to be passionate and root for your team, but it doesn't give anyone the right to act a fool and start junk with others in the stands.

its annoying me, i was watching the twins vs. white stockings game on fox today and heard probably the dumbest jeer ever. Justin Morneau struck out with i think 1 out and a runner on 2nd. while he was walking back to the dugout the fans were saying, " MVP! MVP!" First off, if youre gonna heckle somone, be way more original than that. (we're the worst in the world at coming up with chants) Second, it was a game in 30 degree weather, no one could hit on the twins, also in large part to javier vazquez. I just think that MLB fans are dumb and crazy, and i think that more fans should be thrown out of games.

Well, one doesn't get arrested for spitting his unpopped popcorn seeds on the ground. So I will assume your stepdad did something that was totally uncool.
Enjoy the game, it's not worth getting temperamental over and it's not worth the consequences your stepdad experienced. Even at the major league level, IT'S STILL A GAME.

I think it's horrible.
Baseball is supposed to be a respectable sport that people enjoy to watch, and brutal fans lose that respect for the game and for themselves. They just down right ruin a pleasant experience for many people.

at baseball games there is a fine line in how much they will tolerate and the chance of re occurrence.other fans around should not tolerate it either,fights will incur.inebriation is usually the cause and a big mouth and vulgarity , not to cool
