Actually, I don't believe I should have to.....Just as I would never expect someone, I loved, to convert to MY religion, if theirs were different. Most people only survive relationships if they share the basics of similar philosophies in life, anyway. Otherwise, someone would constantly be having to change their ways of thinking, or how they really want to live, in order to keep the peace. That wouldn't be healthy or a happy way to live for either one of them.
Though I embrace other religions....I believe that ALL true believers, in any faith, will come together in the end, just as I have been taught. So I maintain respect for all religions, as I expect others to respect my own chosen beliefs.
Another very interesting question, btw.

No, because you would be in their place of worship for the wrong reason. A person that loves you should accept you choices in life. I lost one girl I loved dearly, she left because I did not agree with her beliefs. The woman I eventually married, respected and agreed with my beliefs. When she converted to another religion, I respected her beliefs. Luckily when I went to her church I felt like I was home and converted also. I converted because I believed and she never pressured me.
However, I may convert again and start the church of Mel ;-)

No, I am happy with being a christian. I have no plans on changing to anything else. I have at least studied the christian faith for 25 years as an adult. I love it and it works for me. I know people do not believe in it but, I am the only one who decides what I believe and do in this life I have been given. Many people have opinions and do not do anything to find out about the faith they give verbal feedback on, so, I do not want to hear from those people. I would not believe in this faith if I did not see the fruit of my labor. Have a most wonderful day. I am sold out for Jesus.

i would be open minded but i wouldn't abandon what i know and believe. the other person should feel the same too. that's deep to ask someone you love to give up his/her religion for love especially if the relationship may not work out in the end. then what?

No, because if you really love someone the religion they practice shouldn't matter. Besides, the person shouldn't ask the other to change to suit their needs.

no, but i would respect their's and expect them to do the same for me.
besides, if you did...it wouldn't work out in the long run...eventually, the new lovey, dovey, sugar, sweety,Honey pie crap wears off and all that is left if you and your lover....raw,bare and naked, meaning .... you will know and see each other for who you really are............and when the new or romance is gone and its just him or her sitting on the sofa pooting and burping........you may become angry with them for making you convert.
