I just put what I think of at that time !
But when I get a best answer and it's from the asker, I get a warm fuzzy feeling !
Not so much when it's not from the asker.
I wish everybody would actually pick the best answer to their questions.

When I get best answer, it means I put enough thought and consideration into my post to be both clear and informative. In that regard, every answer I give (well, mostly), has the intention of becoming best answer.
I don't get hurt or offended if I don't get picked, though. I'm not always the best for what that particular person was looking for, and that's alright with me. So long as I gave accurate and relevant information to the best of my ability, I did the best I could.

I put whatever I think the asker needs to hear whether it be something they agree with or not. I don't really seek out to win a best answer but I try to explain the answer in the best way I know how.

I usually answer with my personal best answer so I guess it's a little of both. I like getting best answer for the ten points and the fact that I actually helped someone.

Most of the time I'm not trying for best answer. I find that many times, the questioner isn't really looking for answers, they're looking for reactions. They post "questions" they know are incendiary/controversial and will provoke responses, especially negative ones.
I just feel free to say what I think. I do try to read the questions carefully and craft a well-thought-out (and properly spelled!) answer.
I like it best when the questioner picks mine as best, because it lets me know I got my point across. It's not as satisfying when it goes to a vote.

I try to give good answers but I'm not striving for best answer. If someone can use my answers wisely or if I help them that's all that matters. People have helped me on here before from computer problems to cooking questions and a lot in between. I have years behind me with experience and sometimes my experience can help. If so, great. If not.....that's okay too. But I wouldn't steer someone wrong on purpose -- that's just me. I've got enough points not to get kicked off here and that's all that matters to me with regard to points.

I usually answer questions as truthfully and helpfully as I can. If I get a best answer, it's just icing on the cake, like the points that go with that. I do appreciate the questioners who give me a best answer rating more than one just from voters or the Answers crew.

I just put what I think, and if the asker doesn't like it, that's tough. I only ever put my opinions, because I don't care about the points anyways. When I get best answer, I don't really think much of it, just maybe think I give good advice!

Best answer means 10 points! but I just put what i think is funny! And I hope the asker gets my humor. Most of the time its slightly perverted.

When I get best answer, I am happy that I was able to help the person/make them laugh.
I usually just put what I am really thinking..no need to suck up.
