Every century or so, a great man comes along and goes down in our history books for his greatness. I have been on Obama's website and after reading about him and watching his videos I finally have hope. Obama is the epitome of greatness. I am not a person that usually gets excited about politics, however I am now. I will vote Obama for president in 08 if he is on the ticket. He is utterly amazing!!!

I'm from Illinois, so of course I've heard Obama speak.

Look, Barack Obama has charisma, but not much else. He can't hold a candle to Condaleezza Rice who has superior intelligence, experience, and a cohesive political philosophy. If the two of them ever debated one another, Barack's deficiencies would become glaringly apparent.

Haven't you ever asked yourself why you like him so much? Doesn't his message seem just a little too..... simple?

The reason he is so popular right now is that he tells people what they want to hear. In other words, he's pandering to disgruntled voters. He's preying on people who are gullible, who don't stop for a minute to wonder why he seems so completely likeable. How do you think Communists got into power? Did they tell people that they were going to have to live in substandard housing, work at horrible, menial jobs their whole life, and give up all their personal property? No, they talked in glorious terms about a "workers' paradise", and gullible people fell for it. Don't fall into this trap.

If he talks about "free" health care, ask yourself "What is state-run health care like in other countries?" Answer: you have to wait all day. Doctors don't care about you. They get paid the same no matter what. You will get substandard treatment, and everything will always be in shortage. Imagine the staggering cost of "free" health care. We already have tax credits for people buying their own insurance, so lack of money is no longer a valid argument. National Health Care would be a nightmare.

Leave Iraq? If we leave before the job is done, the insurgents will prevail. Iran will end up controlling the country, and we'll have an even bigger problem with Islamic terrorists. Bet Obama never talks about that !

A true statesmen has to tell people what they'd rather NOT hear. A true statesman doesn't pander for votes. He knows he isn't always going to be popular, but he counts on the wisdom of the average voter to know what needs to be done.

Obama is a good public speaker, but who is he? He sounds one way, usually, but when he spoke in Selma a few weeks ago his accent was completely new and obviously fabricated, a poor imitation of MLK, maybe. Pandering to his audience, a la Hillary's phony southern accent? What an insult to their intelligence. I've heard his pastor speak, also. He sounded more racist than Malcom X and may have damaged Omama's chances.

One guy up above said that Barak is too simple.

Er, you're current president is a former AWOL pilot who did drugs and was a cheerleader.

On top of that, he is a terrible public speaker and renowned for being exceedingly dumb, but surrounding himself with people who are either bright or are at least able to spin things properly.

It's not about being the smartest guy, obviously.

He has a very good speaking manner, but I disagree with his ultra liberal point of view. I think Hillary is talking more center but this is transparent. Perhaps a Republican who leans to the liberal side maybe centrist enough
