Okay, I really wanna try this, and right now I'm downloading the free 10 day demo. I have a question. When you pay for your account, how does it work? Do they give you a seriall number to enter in or something? Also, how much does it cost monthly?

yea, they give you a serial number that you need to enter wille installing.

World of Warcraft will be available for Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP and Macintosh® formats at a suggested retail price of $49.99 in the U.S., and will include a free one-month subscription to the game.

After the initial free one-month subscription ends, players of World of Warcraft will be able to continue playing under one of three different subscription plans. The month-to-month subscription plan costs $14.99 per month, the three-month plan costs $13.99 per month, and the six-month plan costs $12.99 per month. World of Warcraft subscription fees can be paid by major credit card, PayPal, and pre-paid game cards, which will be available in stores where World of Warcraft is sold. World of Warcraft has received a Teen rating from the ESRB.

Ok, first thing you need to know, is that the 10-day trial is not really WoW (World of Warcraft) software; you will have to buy a copy from somewhere.

You should only buy WoW from legitimate sources. For the downloadable version try:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com
http://www.blizzard.com
For the CD version try Best Buy, Wal-Mart or gaming store.

DO NOT buy a used copy of WoW!

You can pay for your account a variety of ways. I think the two most common are the game card (a prepaid block of time bought at Best Buy, Wal-Mart or a gaming shop) or a credit card. Credit Card account automatically re-bill when your time runs out until you tell them to stop. UNpaid acconuts are not deleted, but you can't play that account again until you start paying again.

I know with the CD version of WoW one of the sleeves that the CDs come in will have the serial number on it. I'm sure with the download version they will e-mail it to you. After you install, you will be prompted to set-up an account, which simply means choosing a user name, password, and payment method. (Character name and User name do NOT have to be the same!)

The CD version comes with some free playtime, I'm not sure if the download version does.

The normal charge per-month for WoW is 15.99 I believe, with a one dollar per-month discount if you buy 3 months at once, and 2 dollars if you buy in 6 month chunks.
