I cried watching both of these, if you haven't well I just dont think you have a sympathizing bone in your body. Yeah Bambi was just a cartoon, Old Yeller a yellow dog but to the owner of the dog he had just lost a best friend, that the whole family fell in love with, and Bambi? What's a little deer to do losing his mother? I know your feeling it now..

I saw it once years ago and I cried and cried. I felt really down for quite a while. I never watch movies, now, that have any animals getting hurt. It kind of breaks my heart. I try instead to watch movies such as "Good Boy" which was out about 3 years back. It was VERY funny and also perfectly captured the relationships between we who love our pets so deeply. It asked the question, "who is leading who"? and, what kind of world would it be without dogs in it? As for me; I can't even imagine. Love that movie! Sorry for Old Yeller, too sad and hard for me. I cry enough over all the dogs I've lost already.

Bambi was too boring.
Never saw Old Yeller.
But I cried with The Lion King.
And with The Monster Squad, when Frankenstein gets sucked into the vortex.
I also got a little touchy in Finding Nemo, when Marlin can't catch the boat. During that time in my life, I was having dreams where I was chasing after someone who'd always get away from me... so this scene touched a nerve... but not too much.

*sighs* Bambi was sad, but when I first watched it I was too young to understand. When I watched it again, I knew what was coming so nothing happened. But Old Yeller.... don't get me started ;_;

Has anyone watched Artificial Intelligence? The poor little bear is left all alone when the idiotic robot ditches him and falls asleep >.<

I havent seen bambi or old yeller. although i have read old yeller to the point at which he ran off!.
I'm sure though, old yeller will come bounding back to his person, kinda like lassie episodes ,and it will end happy!!!

Why, is everybody saying that they're crying? Please tell me it has a happy ending?

Bambi still does it. But so does Dumbo.
What is it with Walt Disney and wrenching kids away from their mothers?

I'm a crabby old man ... and yes, I cried in these movies.

I also cried when Beast was dying ... when Simba's father spoke to him ... when Pocahontas said good-bye to John Smith ... and when Jessie was put out with the used toys.

Dang, I'm such a wimp.

A few tears rolled down my cheek during 'bambi'...

no I don't think so but if you want a real tear jerker of a movie, watch Where the red fern grows. It is a pretty old movie but a good one.
