How do you safely remove the rear deck to reach the rear speaker on a 2006 ford taurus sedan? I want to take the stock speakers out and replace with different rear speakers.

Unfortunately you need to remove the entire rear seat. Remove the lower portion of the seat by pushing in on the front of the cushion to release the tabs, then pull up. After that you'll be able to get to the lower bolts that hold in the rear seat back; fold down the seats to get to the upper bolts. Once the bolts are removed, you can pull out the entire rear seat back, which will allow you to remove the rear deck cover panel.

You climb into the trunk and remove the "cardboard" panel to access the back deck...the speakers are bolted up there...
