I HOPE he was joking. Maybe the reporter took his response too seriously. Then again, we're talking about a man who is unapologetic about gettin' high! What do you think?

well, yea. This man has either ran everything known to man up his nose or in his arm over the last 40 years. I am firmly convinced the creature today we call Keith Richards is actually a clever animatronic device.

Keith Richards made a press release shortly after that story was aired, that it did not happen. He would not disrespect the dead in a way such as that, he said. Just another reporter trying to get some action out of a lie! I didn't think he'd be that stupid! And besides, he said, he is no longer doing cocaine, as at this time in his life, it would be suicide! So it was all just a bunch of baloney!

I'm sure he says crazy things like that all the time, because that's his sense of humor. However, it just so happens that the super big movie in which he has a cameo appearance is opening in theaters soon, so a better question might be, "Why did the media give this so much attention?"
A good follow-up question to that might be, "Why do we believe anything the media tells us?"
Yet another follow-up question to that might be, "Why do we care?"
Commercial news agencies are in it for the money. Be wary of what they focus on, as well as what they do not.

i think he meant it as a joke,kinda like a sarcastic comment to a stupid question...guy asks whats the weirdest thing he ever snorted and keith thinking well this is a silly question what can i tell him to really blow his mind and he came up with a good response and the reporter ran with it.

I just read today that he said he was joking, and he didn't really snort his father's ashes. But then again, he might be lying about that.

i've got heard it too... and my AP international historical past instructor replaced into goofing around approximately it, and that i don't understand if that's real... i think if he replaced into loopy adequate.... yet i think of it rather is loopy and gross!!
