I always think that the people who come in and drop their resume off have guts...but honestly we have never hired one of them. You never know when you are dropping by at a bad time. It is just as effective to email or mail your resume. Just always follow the directions of the job posting. If it says no calls...do not call!

Mailing a resume blind with no follow-up is probably the most futile job hunting gesture you can make. Large companies don't always search existing written resumes in a week or a month when an opening becomes available.

In person works very well for entry level jobs because it's hard to turn you down for an interview when you're in the store or lobby. Plus many companies have an on-line system they use to screen in or out potential candidates. So, this can be a decent choice.

If this isn't an entry level job you're looking for, you need much more advice than can be provided on this forum. There is a lot of good written advice out there and you need to read up on techniques before wasting your time sending blind resumes. Basically, you need to find out who can use your skills, who you want to work for, who has openings, and you won't do that by blind mail. You'll need to network because that's how you can learn all that you want to know.

usually the employer lets you know that. if you are responding to an add somewhere they usually ask you to send a resume, they will later invite you for an interview if they like it.
Otherwise you can always go from employer to employer (or company) and drop off a resume.

The starting up income will be determined via skills and journey, notwithstanding that's in simple terms evasive to no longer furnish a candidate with a income variety. maximum organizations have a spread for each position it really is common lengthy before they positioned up the interest. i could advise if a position sounds interesting and also you want to stay with with this expertise up the front, call HR and ask what the income variety is for the revealed position. they do no longer could allow you to know, yet they might. They do allow you to know in case you ask in the course of the interview.
