I'm trying to build a "happy" cd for housework and driving. They need to have good lyrics, not too much drums or screaming guitars.

If your making a happy CD try songs from Mark Schultz's album called "Happy."

I would also recommend pretty much anything from the Newsboys. From the Go album the songs Wherever We Go and I am Free are definately upbeat.

Here are some other ones:

Audio Adrenaline(Hands and Feet and Big House)
Casting Crowns(Voice of Truth, Lifesong, Praise You In This Storm)
Downhere(A better way)
Chris Tomlin(How great is our god, Indescribable, Made To Worship)
MercyMe( So long self)
Superchic[k] – (Stand in the Rain)
Matt Redman – (You Never Let Go)
Aaron Shust – (My Savior My God)
Jeremy Riddle (Sweetly Broken)

Well, what I can think of right now is anything by Relient-K. They are a rock-ish Christian band that doesn't scream.
Or if you're more in to screamo music, try UnderOATH.

So Long Self, by Mercy Me. We Live, by Superchic(k), anything by Hillsongs United. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Sorry!
