For saltwater, I'd have to say my very favorite is a longnose hawkfish. They have a great personality.
For brackish, I like dragon (violet) gobies. Few people know what they are and they look like they'd be a really mean fish, but the aren't.
For freshwater, I like bettas. I just think they're pretty.

My favorite is The Dwarf Pygmy Goby. It is the smallest fish in the world and you can make schools in a 10 gallon tank because they are so small . They are hard to find but theyre worth it

Silver arowana because they are beautiful. I don't own any fish though, cuz i'm too lazy to take care of a tank.

Bettas definately. They are smart and can recognize their owner. Their fins are beautiful too! Each and every one is different, personality wise and looks.

the males..
oh they are so gorgeous..
not quite orange but not quite pink either..and those fins looks so pretty in the water...there is nothing like them..just simply gorgeous..

I myself love cory catfish, that i have so many i 'm making space for more!:) They are small energict and look fun:)
