Just turn off your modem and then back on.
Pretty much all providers use a "Dynamic" IP address meaning it changes every time you log off and on.
Some providers do have a "Static" IP address which means it stays the same all the time, but you usually have to pay extra for this and request it.
So I doubt that will be a problem.
You can check your IP address by going to:
http://checkip.dyndns.org/
So you can turn off your modem and then back on and compare the results.

Only way to change your external IP address is to get a different ISP (Internet Service Provider). If you have Verizon DSL let's say, you need to switch to Time Warner Road Runner (or some other internet service).
Otherwise, you're pretty much stuck with it.
I'm assuming that you want to change something else though, and inadvertently used the phrase IP instead?

well if you are on dial up, you can just reconnect, and if you are on dsl or cable you just reset the modem by unplug replug, most people do not keep the same ip address for any significant length of time, theres really no reason to change it...
those other answers are wrong, just about all internet providers use dynamic ip addressing and so resetting connection will give another random ip of theirs

You can't change your IP (Internet Provider) Address. For example, your Internet Provider is a telephone company called Intercom. Meaning, Intercom is your IP (Internet Provider). If you want to change it, you have to first terminate your contract and apply at a different company.

Changing your IP would depend on what equipment you want to change it on and if it's your computer, what operating system you are running. If you can provide this information you might get a useful answer.
