Because there is no such animal although If there were I would want one for a pet.
There used to be a show on TV a long time ago that had a Jackalope on it. He used to Terrorize this old man. I can't remember the name of the show though.

jackalope feed off of canolope and beef jerky injected with tesostorone. so add those exotic foods to the trap and youll catch one with then a few hours

Maybe you are using the wrong bait? Normally jackalopes feast on the flesh of virgin girls. Everyone knows that!

maybe you aren't making the tang stout enough to hold the antlers, or maybe it's using the antlers to pry loose...... for jackaloupe i prefer a snare type of trap, gets 'em off the ground where they can't get any leverage to work loose, and they soon tire, making the gutting & skinning quicker as they're usually already dead when you get back.....

you're probably using the wrong bait. i hear that they like lucky charms cereal, but you run the risk of catching a leprechaun (be careful, those little green guys are pretty vicious!).
