Why are you assuming that anyone going to church on Easter Sunday only goes twice a year? Doesn't it make sense that people who go to church every Sunday, or almost every Sunday, would go also on Easter?
I'm a regular churchgoer, nearly every Sunday. Usually on Easter Sunday I go to church, then to the Fifth Avenue Easter Parade in Manhattan, then to a family dinner. (I live in Queens, NY.) However, I have a lingering chest cold, so I'll skip the parade, might skip church this year, go to the family dinner.
Happy Easter! He is risen!
I'm going home soon to watch The Ten Commandments on ABC-TV (it started about 15 minutes ago).

Yes, I will go to church tomorrow and I will take my son. We read the Easter story tonight before he went to bed, we went to the Stations of the Cross on Friday, and we went to church on Palm Sunday. Prior to then, we hadn't been to church since Christmas Eve. Am I a hypocrite? No. I don't claim to be a better person than I am and I don't criticize others for their churchgoing habits or lack thereof. I plan to go to church more often from now on...for my son's sake as well as my own.

Baby, why do you bother to call other people hypocrites? You seem to already KNOW what people will say:(
I can't speak for nobody but myself..maybe I am a hypocrite -I am human and I cannot say I haven't commited this sin, right;)- but I do go to Church more than twice a year.
Better late than never. There's a paragraph in the Bible saying that he who comes "to the celebration" in the eleventh hour (meaning "late") should celebrate just as the one that has been fasting/lenting, just as the one that has been "good." I guess as long as this late person comes with a pure heart and want to celebrate Jesus' Resurrection..

Yes, as always the 1:00 PM Mass. But I am not a hypocrite as you accuse everyone of being, as I go to mass every Sunday so speak for yourself. Anyway Happy Easter.

If a person goes to church only once per year and does not claim that he goes more often, or does not attempt to get others to go more often, he is not a hypocrite. He's simply a poor church goer.

The answer is no, I'm not going to church and no I am not a hypocrite. I don't believe in organized religion. I do believe in God and I do believe in Jesus. I just think that there too many religions that are judging people.

some people are not as religious as everyone else, but feel like they should go on important holidays to feel like they did the right thing. Some people do not go to Church at all becuase they have no religion. Don't knock down what you don't understand.

I believe that the only person fit to judge me, is God himself.
Only HE know's what's in my heart - whether, or whether not I go to church.
I pray without ceasing....and to me that means more than going to church every Sunday, to "impress" my friends and neighbors.
God lives within me - and as long as he loves me in spite of my failings, what does it matter to anyone else?
Judge not, lest ye yourself be judged. for howsoever you judge others, is how you yourself will be judged.
