Chances are YES. Unless you want to work at a bar that doesn't care or a tatoo parlor.

Depends on the job really, if you are public facing then it probably would in most cases , but if not then possibly not, it is very much a personal choice by the employer as is the lip ring for you !!

In most of the best jobs it will make a big difference. There are dress codes,no visible tattoos, the way you cut your hair ,etc and they are written in manuals so you understand all the rules from the first. So yes, a lip ring would keep you from being hired.

If I was interviewing you it will certainly prevent you getting the job. I do not see anything attractive with any body piercing in either male or female, apart from two earrings for a girl and possibly one for a man

If you have to ask this question, then there's enough concern in your mind to suggest the reality that some people, some prospective employers to be exact, might have serious enough objections to them such that they'll give the job to someone else, not you. And with that reality in mind, and it is a very sound reality, if I were wanting a job, I'd get my priorities in order and decide what's more important: a piece of cheap jewelry in my face, or a job. God Bless you.

Rings or other metal on the face is a big turn off for employers as are visible tattoos.

Right or wrong they say to an employer ~~~ "This person does drugs."

It could, especially in the food industry because lip rings look unsanitary, even if you take good care of them.

I am in a position of doing hiring and we have a company policy against facial piercings. Ears OK, but no others that can be seen, ever, when you are on the job.

An ear piercing means one or two piercings per ear. NOT THE ONE YOU CAN POKE YOUR FINGER THROUGH. YIKES.
