what are yahoo points what are they for?

They only let others see how many questions you have answered. They are not good for anything else other than that.

I have been invited to Yahoo sponsored events, and been awarded Yahoo!Answers awards (see the
picture/avatar). I have received many Yahoo!Answers souvenirs, such t-shirts, sweatshirt,
stickers, and a jacket. I attended the Yahoo!Answers birthday party, including a complimentary
motel room. I was one of many "power users" who have been invited to join a Yahoo Focus Group
to beta test new features.

I have been a featured user in Y!A blogs throughout the world, and I now have blog friends and
contacts in every time zone in the entire world.

All of this came about because I answered lots of questions and helped hundreds (or maybe
thousands) of people, while accumulating thousands of points.

it is so you can advance to the next level and it also insures u get an answer for your question by making your points go away you answer other peoples questions to get points and they get their answers you get your points to ask another question.when you reach the last level you can ask questions for free.

They don't have any real purpose, it's just to prove to everyone else that you have no life, because you spend to many hours answering these questions.
