I never took a drug test they just hired me. Come to think of it there are several people working with me that come to work drunk or either high.

Where I work they test any time someone is involced in any type of accident, or when there is property damage AND they do random drug tests,( including alcohol ) all the time.
They used to randomly pick a day and test everyone, now they just pick a random day and test a random sampling of people.
They also went from urine tests to swab tests.

They don't do either anymore. It really limited the applicant pool...They don't do surprise spot checks but with how much is going on under their noses (and on the clock) they should look into it. People are drinking on the clock and selling drugs to co workers on the clock too. I would have thought that they didn't want that going on but I guess they just don't care enough. But yet, they are animate about keeping cell phones off the selling floor...Go figure.

Mine has never tested for alcohol. When I started, I had to sign something that I would submit to random drug screening, but I've never had to....

Most employers that doe drug screening also test for alcohol. and a very few employers will test you steriods as this is very expensive

Yes, in the work force, they consider alcohol to be in the drug catagory when testing.

I do believe some test for alcohol, but it's pretty rare, and for more specific types of jobs, like perhaps a forklift driver or something like that.
