I wouldn't be upset with my husband if he talked to an ex on the phone just to catch up, I would however be very upset if he kept it from me and then lied about it. I have always believed that in a marriage, anything that you have to lie about or keep a secret is something that you shouldn't be doing. I would be concerned about the reason he chose to lie about it, or not tell you from the beginning that he called her just to say hi or see how she was. Pretty sticky situation, good luck.

I have a six year old myself and it seems to be a very tender age, you may want to try and seek some counseling for the young boy. Have you tried talking to the mother about this? I used to deal with my exs ex a lot pertaining to child support, bills, and there kids. We understood each other and got along, better the her and him. If she is willing to talk, I would absolutely look at that, but if she is defensive about it, I would suggest, having him talk too a mutual person, someone who is not related and is not a friend to the family. Its amazing what strangers can get out of children. Really need alil mor info though. Sorry.

A person usually only goes snopping if they are thinking something is wrong. If you trusted your husband you wouldnt be looking through his phone. I dont think you are as confident as you make out about knowing he wouldnt cheat on you. What were you looking for when you went looking through his phone?
Something is not quite right. He lied to you for the reasons he gave you, but Im starting to think that maybe he is doing something behind your back, otherwise why would you have any need to go through his phone if you trusted him?
I certainly wouldnt want the ex in my life.....but how do you know it was only once......how do you know that he hasnt been ringing her or seeing her when you are not around? Youve caught him out on one lie, now you are going to be wondering if anything else he tells you is the truth. The rot has set in, and I think if you were totally honest, there are some issues that are concerning you, hence you checking his phone. I dont know what to suggest.......honesty is always the best policy.....dont stick your head in the sand maybe?
Take care

You are right the past is the past........so why dosn't your husband leave it there???? He is caught and trying to turn it around on you. How would he expect you to act .....you are his wife! Did he just forget that or something? He is disrespectfull and up to no good. Don't let him get by with this .........give him hell. This is no good. Stop it and tell her to get a life. Which does not include your husband.

well its not a good sign that he lied to u. He should have been honest. Yes I would be annoyed too if my husband was chillin with his ex without me, especially calling her and acting all secretive.

No, you're not being dramatic.
I would be freaking ticked off.
I don't talk to my ex boyfriends primarily because of the golden rule.

I beleive that when you get married you have no right to dictate your spouse drop all of his/her friendships just because YOU feel threatened. What are you going to do when he wants to go to a class reunion and girls he dated are there? Are you going to tie him up in a corner and not allow him to speak to anyone because YOU feel threatened?

IF he had not lied, I would not have worried, but the fact that he LIED about it, means that he is hiding something and I would be worried.
