Oh very much so. Depends what "down there" you're referring to, but if a change in diet very much affects smells and tastes.
You might want to do some research, but it is a proven fact that diet will affect your, um, "output" - for both males and females.
I'm not sure if you're asking about your own body or a male partners, but I did come across this article about semen taste:

Ah, isn't the internet a weird and wonderful thing???

To a certain extent. Smoking and meat-eating are often causes of a vague nasty smell and taste, and pineapple is often recommended to women who want to taste better.
But a lot of it is just your own body chemistry and what time of the month it is. Serious bad odor or taste can often be caused by minor infections that are easily treatable with antibiotics or other medications. If you keep your genitals clean (daily wash with a mild soap ONLY on the outside: douches will actually make you smell/taste worse in the long run) you'll probably be okay.

Yes, What you eat affects how you smell and taste. It is the same with males.
For example, if your drink lots of milk and eat a lot of red meat you will not smell/taste as good.
On the other hand, if you drink lots of water/citrus juices (or cranberry juice), eat fruits (especially citrus), vegetables and more lean meats you will smell/taste better.
There are other things that may influence this matter, but what you and drink are the most important. Unless of course you have an infection, then the doctor is the best bet.
Good Luck!

Yes, sometimes what we eat can make our urine smell a certain way. But as far as the discharge from the vagina it should not and this needs to be evaluated by your dr to see if you have an infection going on, in particular something called bacterial vaginosis.

I don't know about women but I have read where women claimed their male partners ate specific foods and it altered the taste! Might be possible! I know if I taste anything other than clean and fresh I'm out of there!
