I'd paint your walls a warm brown (not quite as dark as milk chocoalte) or deep gold similar to your butterscotch floors. If your walls end up matching your floors, use brown throw rugs for an accent color.

Use brushed nickel/stainless accent pieces (coffee table, lamps, vases) and a warm plaid throw on yoru sofa or chair.

first of all how much money are you willing to spend. first of all if money is not an issue. get rid of those white walls, add some color to your life. the floor strip it and re-stain it,re-finish it. the couch im not fond on blue so i would buy another couch.
now the cheaper way well i hate white so i would paint the walls regardless, the couch i would get a blanket or go visit a fabric shop and choose some kind of material i like. then i would adhere velcro on the couch and material. got rid of that blue, got a nice print or solid color. get a couple of pillows. The floor i refuse to have carpet. If your oak floor is solid, im envious. im not fond of oak, but if it solid, good enough condition to repair, just fix it, fill holes scratches ect. Do a light sanding and re-finish it with a clear coat. It is work and takes a bit of time to do, but it is worth it. If you rent a floor sander take it down to the bare wood, re-stain to what ever color of wood you would like, then put on a clear coat, brand new floor.
If your going to keep what you have paint your sills, baseboard, and what ever trim you have another color.Put some paintings or murals on big emty spaces, although i dont like carpet at all, i probably would go get a rug that i thought was colorful one that i could easily roll up and pick up so i could easily take it outside to shake off or throw over a rail and beat it . or to get it out of the way when i sweep that is at least once a day.

Heres what i would do: Option1: paint the walls a beige or cream color try to find a rug with the shade of blue your furniture is mixed with other colors. Option2: sell the furniture or slipcover it! slipcovering is a great way to give a room a complete new feel. i would recommend a taylored cream slipcovers and for accents use whatever you think fits the space. Also rememver if its a small room dont paint dark colors because it will overpower the room and make it seem smaller, but if you really want to inject color through the walls and it is a small room hang colorful paintings or just paint 1 accent wall.

Lots of blue rugs and lots of white rugs.

Some blue pictures on the wall, some white cushions on the furniture.

Take the eyes of the floor, onto facinating pictures on the walls, photos, collages, picture sculptures etc

well you need to be alittle more specific but you could go with peach or lemon yellow accents, such a sofa pillows lamp bases that would tone down the blues and dull the floors, you aready have a three color combination and dont forget something a green plant.

Refinish the furniture, paint the walls a different color and re-sand and stain the floors!
Either that or move.
