We were traveling yesterday along a major highway in Illinois and Wisconsin and we stopped at a rest area and in the women's restroom there was a depository for sharp instruments, (needles) like you see in a doctor's office. Why would they have those in restrooms?

Okay, that makes sense. I guess I'm just too innocent to know about these things.

So people who use them might have a straight moment and actually put their paraphernalia in a safe receptacle. I think the people who look after these places are tired of picking up all the needles as the danger of being stuck with one is a real problem. There are so many drug addict out there that everyone must be careful when visiting rest areas and other places that cater to the general public.

Maybe for insulin-dependent diabetics, although that seems like a weird thing to think of when designing a rest stop. Maybe for IV drug users?
