I learned to say "Thank you". I used to ruin the compliment by negating what was said.

I accept it and say Thank You. It bothers me a lot when people say the latter. I built up their emotions with the compliment, why do they need the reinforcement?? When I give compliments, which are few and far between, I genuinely mean it.

I always try to say thank you although sometimes I catch myself saying yea right because I am pretty hard on myself most of the time but it would be rude to do that so yea just say thank you.
