here is the situation, I have a bad head cold and don't feel that great, my mom is expecting me to come to her house tommorow for easter dinner, I don't really want to go but I know if I don't my mom will never let me forget it and I don't want her mad at me, if you were in this situation what would you do, stay home where you feel better being and have your mom mad at you or go and feel miserable but make your mom happy?
My mom is going to be 76 next month and has a way of making you feel like every visit could be the last.

it is not like I never see them, they stop by my house almost every day to say hi.

Easter is a time for celebrations and family reunion. At age 76, she may not be around for very long. I suggest you take some flu medications and make your way to her house. You don't want to disappoint her do you? Avoid alcoholic drinks while on medication. Remember, you don't want to live thru a live-time of regrets.

If your mother is going to be 76 next month, that's getting to be really old. If I were you, I would go. I would take some medicine and go spend Easter Dinner with my mother. It's a special holiday, after all. It's only one night, anyway.

Take Dayquil right now, than Nyquil at night. If you don’t want to take Dayquil take Aleve, or Tylenol. I'm not sure how your body will react to Advil, so I’m trying to think safe. You have to go for dinner. Me and my mother don’t get along, but she’s old, so I do my best to get along. After all she DID give birth to you. That should be a big enough reason. Happy Easter!!

If she is 76 she could get sick from your cold. Not a good idea. Stay home. Send a nice card to tell her you are thinking of her well being or flowers. She will get over the anger probally faster than the cold.

Love your mom, respect your mom, take this opertunity and use it to your advantage, mothers are healers... do you hear me!! Mothers are healers.
head cold or no, go to your mom and have her take care of you as she has always done, give her a reason to do what moms do, 76 next month tell her I said happy birthday.
your mom will be glad to help you on your sick dark days, it makes them feel as they should feel, important. so go!!!

if something ( god forbid) would happen to her... you will never forgive yourself. Take a medicine, take a hot shower, put some alcohol and Vick on your feet and some woolen socks and sweat it out tonight. DON'T dissapoint your mother please and be there tomorrow. you can stay for a couple of hours and then excuse yourself.
good luck and get better

Take some medicine, make an appearance, spend a few quality minutes with her, then leave.

My moms 76th birthday was also her last one.
I would give anything to go to her for dinner one more time.
Get your **** over there!
