the doctor found a mass in my back he said it was of a small orange. what could this be? i have nf . help

it may be a lipom. its a mass of fat that for some reason grows on the body. its not hard on the touch since its principally made of fat. they can be found anywhere on the body.
it could also be a cyst. these are usually humm more resistant on touch and if they 'blow up' (the liquid inside goes out) it can become very painfull.
both of them can be surgically removed but sometimes it can come back.
consult a dermatologist.

Could be just a cyst but the only way to know for sure is to have further testing on this thing done to try and figure out what it is.
