The food served at McDonald's is nutrient-poor. What makes it so unhealthy is the high trans fat and sugar content along with the 100's of chemical additives, listed as spices and flavorings under ingredients. These chemical additives and preservatives make the food last longer on McDonald's shelves, makes the food taste better, make the texture more pleasing, and are extremely addicting. Every part of what you eat at McDonald's is filled with these substances.

Just about everything. They use inferior meat that is full of fat. They cook their burgers in fat, that is a saturated fat, not a healthy fat, but a fat that will clog your arteries. The only good fats are trans fats, ie; olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil. then who knows what is in the sauce that they put on the burgers. It may be mayo, which could be ok, but not sure. Then on top of it all, they use buns made of processed white flour. There is absolutely nothing healthy in white flour, it has no nutrients in it. It is purely a waste of calories and fats. Hopefully this has been helpful in showing you that you are eating something that is totally bad for you. I doubt it will change your eating habits, but at least you will know that what you are eating is basically just putting fat into your system and cloging your arteries. Hopefully you are young and will learn better by the time you grow up and reach the age of getting a heart attack. Please watch out as to how many of these little nails you put into your coffin.

Right there we have a contradiction of terms...because nutrients are GOOD for you...

I think you mean what INGREDIENTS.

And anyway, it's definitely in part the transfat, the high fat, the sugar contents, and the chemicals in the food that they use to preserve their heart attacks in a bag.

Well first of all, nutrients are what our bodies need for fuel. They aid in digestion, build strong bones, tone our muscles, and on, and on.

Preservatives are not nutrients and are not naturally found in ANY food, let alone, food from a fast-food joint. Any food not naturally grown, (i.e., that cola or McRib) is pumped full of preservatives in order to maintain its shelf life.

Generations of adults knew that boiling a peeled potato was much healthier and more nutritious than frying one in poly-, moly-, tran-saturated fat!

The meat in the burger or patty is just pure beef, however, there's the ketchup and the sweet mustard, the sugar in the bun. Salt if it's still added.

The fries are of course cooked in a fatty oil and then salted.

Soda drinks contain sugar.

etc. etc.

take your pick trans fat, sugar, salt the only thing good for you at McD is the containers they are served in. At least you would get a little fiber.
