I've noticed women will do that. But maybe that's because I cook the meals in this house.
If I may hypothesize here... The cook knows what's in the fridge and is used to putting stuff together to make the meal. The non-cook residents look in the fridge and don't understand why there's nothing readily available for eating. Doesn't matter if they're male or female. They're not going to see it because they're not used to putting stuff together for a meal.

To be honest, not all men do that, and some women do. Like me. When i say there’s is nothing to eat, i mean that the fridge can be full and yet nothing would be good enough for me to satisfy a particular craving. For example: if I want to eat something salty, spicy, and juicy and if I can't find it than there is “nothing to eat”.

Women are magic that way. They also go into a walk-in closet with more clothes thanthe Gap and say I don't have anything to wear. The guy picks something off the floor, smells it, and puts it on.

Ah, yeah. Its alright, theres a good explination for this. When guys say that, it just means theres nothing THEY want to eat in the fridge. I do it all the time. And women say us guys dont understand you...
