At my health club the pools are accessible to wheel chair citizens. They have these hydraulic chair lifts that go right down into the water.
No place is perfect though. The stationery bicycles are still a humiliating challenge to the double-amputees.

well..it kinda depends..i mean my local pool has steps to get into the water so my friend who has no legs can get in and out pretty easy but i mean you arent going to take a wheelchair into the pool. plus you can always just jump in...on the other hand the diving boards..my friend can still get on those but i guess for other people its probably hard...but now exactly can they make a diving board wheelchair accessible? unless you are talking about the entrance of the pool...then that should totally be wheelchair accessible...isnt that the law?..well in the US at least.

I have seen plenty of swimming pools that could be considered accessible, but I have yet to see a wheelchair-accessible diving board.

If I were in a wheelchair, I would feel discrimated against.
For all those people out there NOT thinking, people in wheelchairs CAN swim. It's excellent exercise for the arms. As far the whole diving board thing -- I'm not sure.
