I have some burned out light bulbs and plan on making some ornaments and want to get the metal part off how can I do it without breaking the bulb?

It might be safer to just cover the base. It would also give you a safe place to attach your hanger to.

GLASS CUTTER! Cut the bulb and remove the Glass!

BE Careful, hold the Bulb with a Towel as the glass is thin and fragile!

U sure u don't want 2 smoke crack out of the bulb? lol Anyway try some WD-40 down the lip of it and turn lightly back and forth......it should give!

that's very tricky, eventhough you might break some. just twist the bulb until it's loose, then just pull it out and cut the wire

It might be easier and safer to go to Michaels.

Drill the center contact out of the screw in part.The contacts are what hold it in. then wiggle.
